More space for short documentaries, award winning in an ad hoc section

The section dedicated to Non-Profit Short Film is cancelled: the Migrantes prize will give 500 euros to short documentaries.

MYArt Film Festival has decided to cancel the competitive section dedicated to non-profit short films as an appropriate number of works to submit to the jury has not been reached. Many of the works sent in, despite their good technical and artistic quality, were not relevant to the themes of the festival.

For this reason, the “Migrantes” prize of 500 euros, originally intended for the non-profit short film section, will be assigned to the best short documentary. This choice will allow the judges to give greater recognition and more equal treatment to many works that – due to their brevity – would have risked being disadvantaged when compared to longer works.
