MYArt Festival will dedicate an event to the Calabrian director.

 


 

“The Young Pope – a Tale of Filmmaking” by Fabio Mollo will be the core of a speciale event organized within MYArt, the three-day Film Festival which will take place in Cosenza from 28th to 30th April 2017.

With his documentary, Fabio Mollo, director from Reggio Calabria – whose second film “Il Padre d’Italia” (Good Films, with Isabella Ragonese and Luca Marinelli) is now at cinemas – shows the backstage of the successful series by Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino – recently broadcast on Sky Atlantic – which tells the story of Lenny Belardo, Pius XIII, the first hypothetical American Pope.

The Calabrian director has followed the making of all ten episodes, showing the work of a cast of excellence: Jude Law, Diane Keaton, Silvio Orlando, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Javier Cámara, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli, James Cromwell.
Fabio Mollo’s documentary got a nomination for Nastri d’Argento 2017.
